Review; Nox the Night Drake!

Bad Dragon have been the big boys of Fantasy toys since their launch in 2008, so if there is something you are looking for-- be it beastly or anthropomorphic- you are likely to find it here.
Currently offering 53 fully custom models, all in a vast array of sizes, there is surely something to tickle even the most fickle of fantasies. The only issue is where to start!
So you've chosen you toy.. What next? Well, Bad Dragon offers three different firmnesses when it comes to your toy; Soft, Medium and Firm. This refers to the firmness of silicone that you choose to have your toy made in. If in doubt, order yourself a Firmness sample set. There is nothing worse than ordering a toy in completely the wrong firmness. Doh!
Not only can you customize those options, but you can also order your toy in any combination of any colours, including glow in the dark, metallic, and pearly finishes. Always shoot Bad Dragon an inquiry prior to ordering though-- Bad Dragon may strive to "Make Fantasies Real", however some things just aren't feasible.
Extras such as Suction Cups and Cum tubes are offered by this company, however some models in certain sizes/firmnesses simply don't support either or both. This is become apparent at the time of ordering, so no need to sweat.
Bad Dragon’s toys are all cast in 100% platinum cured silicone which is body safe, phthalates free and hypoallergenic, meaning it can be easily sterilized after use. Generally, mild soap and hot water is good enough to keep your toy clean after use, but a weekly-to-monthly boil will keep your product in tip top condition. Dicks require a lot of TLC!
Remember to use water based lubricant with these toys since Silicone Lubricant can destroy and damage your toy. Keep this in mind if using condoms with toys— double check your lubricant! If you're unsure about your lube, play it safe and go for something clearly labelled water-based.

My Toy

As many of you may know, I own a lot of sex toys. Probably half of my collection is made up of Bad Dragon toys, so choosing something new was rather difficult. I settled on Nox, something smooth and more gentle than my usual choice. He appealed to me as something that did not require a lot of preparation and struggle to fully enjoy, especially considering I am used to using rough, knotted or wrinkled toys.
A design that was the very first winner of the Labs competition, Nox was created by a user named Hyena_Queen, a was a much anticipated by the community. On paper it was a design that did not appeal as much as others; based closely off a certain toothless dragon, it was clear that this would be appreciated by a wide audience.
I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to Labs submissions.. I feel as though submissions should only be allowed to be shown in a single, flat colouration, as a lot of the designs have flashy, eye-catching themes that often win over votes purely for this reason. Hm. I digress.
Nox was a lot more appealing when releasing in the flesh, so to speak. The sweeping curves and natural looking muscle groups looked simply yummy, and the natural colouration chosen was simply lovely despite my earlier rant. The special "Night Drake" colour scheme closely fit that shown in the concept art, and the three other options were all very lovely in their own right.
Personally, I cannot own nice things. I like to own obnoxious, crazy things, which is why I let the Staff decide which colours I got on my own Nox. I provided them with two different themed pictures, both colours that were poured previously of different models (A galaxy Flint & a pastel, trans Hanns). When I opened the box I legitimately squealed a little, because my Nox was the sweetest, girliest thing I've ever had the privilege of owning.

My Nox had been made in the most beautiful, translucent rainbow fade. It looked icey, almost popsicle like. The transition between the colours were simply flawless and I just could not put the toy down, waving it around at my Fiance in joy. I'm not actually the worlds biggest fan of Rainbow toys, but the shades chosen for each of the typical rainbow colours were just so wonderful and delicious looking that I couldn't not love it.

The boring bits; My Nox was requested in Medium size, Medium firmness, with just a suction cup base. Tubes are great if that is your thing, but I personally find them more trouble than fun. I contemplated the Large size, however I reminded myself that I was getting this toy as something a little more gentle compared to my usual fair. The large would have been scrummy, but getting the medium size allows me to use this toy more often as it is less of a hassle, and much less strain on my tiny hands and wrists during use. Seriously, I have to get other people to use things like my Large Orca and my Large Moko on me simply because I cannot hold their weight up.
Bad-Dragon's packing skills are wonderful as ever, however I would suggest maybe smaller boxes for smaller toys? I had a lot of packing peanuts to deal with, and around half of the box was swamped with these things. Not an overly bad thing, as opening the box always smells like delicious corn snacks, but it is a pain to get rid of. Peanuts everywhere! As well as the toy, I found a bottle of lubricant, a pin, and a pen nestled inside with Nox. Thanks, guys!

In Use

Nox's first outing was a rather awesome one, and definitely not one I had prepared myself for. Story time!
I am a regular at various Kink and BDSM events, and the evening of this particular story I was attending a Gentlemen's Evening; this is a relaxed protocol event when I was serving as a submissive under my Dominant, serving them throughout the evening as they requested, i.e. food, drinks, good table manners and so on.
The evening had wound down to a comfortable tone and things started turning a little sexual. I was asked to take out the toys I had bought along with me.. My Large Moko, and my special Nox. I was then ordered to take the toys, and show the other Dominants and their submissives how they were to be used, and how impressive it can be to see someone a little at myself use toys that are so large.
I was embarrassed and shy, but as I slipped on my blind fold I relaxed and lubricated Nox up. He was silky smooth, something that I find really, really delicious in my toys. My fingers glided over his surface, feeling the waves and curves before inserting him slowly. The head popped in with no trouble, but the swell of the shaft caught me off guard! It gave a gentle, but noticeable stretch, something that took a few small thrusts to conquer before he nestled gently in to place.
The shape and curve of Nox seem to fit my anatomy near perfectly, and the smoothness means that the toy does not dry out overly quickly. Nothing is more frustrating than the soreness caused by a dry silicone toy. Ugh!
The swell of Nox's shaft really provides great frontal wall stimulation, adding extra oomph to already great sensations. All in all I really love Nox. I don't know why I did not get one sooner!

Overall?

Nox is a fab little toy that provides a lot of stimulation whilst remaining nice and smooth. For those of you who are easily irritated by heavy texture, maybe consider this as your next purchase!
Pros;
  • Great shape
  • Super smooth
  • Wonderful sculpt, visually delicious
Cons;
  • Price, somewhat of a luxury for those with a low income
  • Size may be challenging for some
You can find Nox and any of the other designs over at Bad Dragon! After all, they are here to Make your Fantasies real.
