Damn Average's Ministang Review~!

The Company;

Damn Average is a one man (or lady, in this case) run small business specializing in toys for those of us who aren't overly gifted in the vaginal (or bottom) department. All of the designs on her Etsy page are sizes that any lady (or gent) with minimal penetrative experience could handle without too much of a challenge, all at super reasonable prices too.

I could gush all day about how wonderful Sheep, the owner & founder of DA, is. Her products are designed for those of us with smaller tastes and for people who perhaps struggle to keep up with the ever expanding (i.e. girthsome) sex-toy market. Her designs are smooth, friendly and completely gentle looking with organic bumps and curves. This allows them to use toys that are actually designed with them in mind. Even your mainstream toy companies such as Tantus don't always cater for those who have limited experience with penetration. She's doing a wonderful thing for people who have issues finding something to suit them, all in body safe materials. Awesome!

As with most hand-crafted sex toy companies, all of the models offered by DA are fully cusomisable to your specifications, often for an extra although not unreasonable charge. The colours that she can produce rival even the top silicone craftsmen out there, which is astounding considering this is all a one-man operation. Several colours of glow-in-the-dark are available, as well as metallic, pearl and UV pigments. The other fantastic thing about all of this is that everything used in the creation of your toy is body safe; If there's one thing that DA is clued up on it's body safe sex toys. She would never, ever use or condone any products that she wouldn't use on/in herself.. Talk about an advocate of safe sex-toys!

DA's toys offer no such options like suction cups or come-tubes, however they're small enough that you could easily use a large double-sided suction cup if wanted a little more stability.

The Model~

One of the smallest and cheapest models in the shop, the Ministang is a great way to introduce yourself to the kind of things that Sheep produces.. As Sheep herself states;

The Ministang is vaguely equine in shape, although no overly so. This is particularly good for those of you who are unsure of more realistically shaped toys. It's just abstract enough that it takes that ick-factor away.
The head is mostly smooth with not real detail par a small triangle of three bumps; One in the center, and two pronged on the underside like little horns. There is a deliciously defined muscular ridge on the underside with with a series of three, pea-sized bumps on the dorsal side of the shaft. Dotted around the shaft are some lovely, sculpted vein details that tie in nicely with the otherwise minimalist nature of the toy and finally the base is a lovely size for the proportion of the toy and allows for an easy grip during play.

Despite it's small size, the Ministang is a great way of showcasing different colours and firmnesses offered by Sheep, and is a great first purchase for novices looking in to their first sex toy.

My Toy

I'd seen a Ministang over on Damn Average's Tumblr that I'd been slightly too late in purchasing, so when I received my Ministang I had no idea what colour I'd been getting.. Again I was blown away by the quality and vibrancy of the pigments used in my toy. I'd received a colouration near identical to the one that I'd missed out on, and it also looks simply fantastic along side the other Damn Average items I'd received.

I'd received a florescent pink (otherwise known as PANK) and pearl while marble, which I adore as I'm a huge fan of both bright colours and pearl colours. The white pearl looks just like the inside of the seashell; the pigment used in the white has a depth about it that makes it look multi-dimensional as apposed to flat and lack-luster. There is an even distribution of both colours, and there is an interesting effect going on where the white has muted the pink a little, giving the toy and third and more subtle colour throughout.

My 'Stang is in Soft firmness simply because I adore the feeling of the silicone. In a toy this size I feel as though Firm would easily be comfortable to use, especially if you are looking for a stronger, more direct stimulation.

In Use

When using this toy I get a classic example of "Accidentally-the-whole-thing". Due to it's smaller dimensions I often get a little over zealous and push past the base until the whole thing has been inserted. Oops!
This is not a comment on how safe this toy is though; for someone like myself with a good level of experience this toy provides little to no stretch at all, hence why I can end up inserting the whole thing instead of just the initial few inches. I wouldn't recommend this though.. We don't want an epidemic and AWOL 'Stangs.

Despite that, this toy is surprisingly pleasant and provides a decent amount of stimulation with his little bumps and ridges. The head gives a gentle pop upon insertion, and the evenly spaced bumps deliver regular little hits of pleasure during thrusting or even just grinding. 

I tend to enjoy slipping this toy inside then grinding against a pillow or bundled up comforter until I orgasm. This toy is also wonderful to use along side a vibrator or even the shower head; Insert, kegal to keep him inside, then provide any other stimulation necessary to climax. The texture on the toy gives a good surface to orgasm around, something I can only imagine is heightened in a firmer option.

Overall Opinion?

A great little companion both on the go and and at home, the Ministang provides all that you could want something so small and discrete. Full customisable, body safe and knowing that you're supporting a wonderful company is all that you should need to know before buying one of your own little guys.. Although I understand that some people require a little more persuasion, so here are my Pro's and Con's!

The Company~

I had never heard of Primal Hardwere until I happened across a master-post not too dissimilar to my own. As well as cock-sheaths Primal Hardwere also sells a range of nylon webbing body harnesses. These are particularly nice if you're into bondage or pet play, as well as just spicing up a bare torso with something a little special. They work on a one-size fits most basis, however there is the option of customization when purchasing.

After receiving a lovely email from the owner of PH, I was informed that;

I could have transcribed this myself, however I feel it's important for customers to see the friendly tone I received from the owner himself, as purchasing from a new company can be daunting when they're unfamiliar, but let me assure you they're great.

Product Information~

As stated above, all their silicone wearables are made of 100% Platinum silicone and should be cared for in the same way as any other silicone product; Wash after use to maintain quality, boil if sharing and for general good hygiene practice and never, ever use silicone lubricant with your sheath! Silicone lubricant can irreversibly damage your toy, and that wouldn't be good.

All sheaths can be ordered in a variety of preset colourations and custom colourations can be attempted for no extra charge. The only sheath to incur an extra charge for coloration is the Neigh Sayer, as this model boasts it's very own natural mottled coloration. Their sheaths have no extras such a tubes or suction cups, but this should go without saying really.. They're sheaths, silly! Part of me thinks that an adapter (Think Fetish Zone's style) would be a good idea to be supplied for men who're a little short for the sheaths, but from my personal experience I don't feel as though this is a super necessary addition.

Sheaths only come in one firmness right now. I'm unsure of what to compare this firmness to, but I'd say it's somewhere between Bad Dragon's Soft and Super soft firmness.. It's not quite super soft but it's not firm by any standards. It's just about right for a sheath like like this!

My Toy

The toy I have is the Neigh Sayer design. It's obviously the equine sheath and the name just makes me smile.. A double bonus, really! I chose this design because I have a lot of knotted designs and feline's aren't my thing, But ponies.. I am always looking to expand my stable, and this design is a little different to all the other ponies out there. Not only that, but my Fiance can wear this one and save his wrists from getting strained..

I went for the natural coloration (of course) which appears to be a gentle mottle of white and black. On the website it states that it's grey and pink, however some variation is to be expected due to the nature of silicone.

When I took this toy out of the box I was shocked by it's texture.. It's like nothing I've felt before in terms of silicone toys. As many of you may know, silicone tends to have a tacky texture especially when it's smooth, however this sheath has more of a velvety feel to it.. At first I thought it had been powdered for transit, however the texture remained even after washing. There are no odd smells so it's unlikely to be something that isn't silicone, but I'm still a little perplexed.

The toy appears to be 3D modeled, however again I am unsure as there is no apparent printer texture and the shaft looks as though it may have been hand sculpted.. The head, however, looks super great and as though it may have been printed instead. There is no surface texture on this toy, but it does sport gentle veining and a gorgeously thick medial ring, adding a little extra dimension in a toy that could potentially be very boring.

As for internal texture this toy appears to have little to none, which may be an issue for you guys who like a little ridging on your sex toys.
Measurements! The toy measurements are stated on the website, but for those of you reading this, here is a quick run down of the sheath without anything inside of it;

This just illustrates the key points that I'm referring to.

Compared to other company's equines, this sheath stands proudly as the thickest. What the Neigh Sayer lacks in length is certainly made up in girth. As you can see it's thicker than both my Bad Dragon's Chance and my Exotic-Erotic's Cody! It's not thicker than Motown, but let's be realistic.. Motown is cast from a live horse and the other three are sculpts.

In use~

This toy is multifaceted, making a well worth investment.. Both yourself and your partner can get use out of this item it's a single product that can be used as three; a dildo, a masturbator & an intimate penis enhancer. As such, I will be reviewing this toy from all three of these points of view.

First off, my opinion! Now, I will unashamedly admit that I am big on my equine toys, and this is a wonderful addition to my stable. The toy has a good base thickness even without the addition of a phallus inside of it, meaning that this isn't something that gets overlooked for my other toys, despite being a cock-sheath. If you're going to use this toy solo then you'll want to invest in a fairly slim vibrator or dildo to give the sheath some support as the sheath is not thick enough to support it's own bulk during solo use. Heck, I might even invest in a slim vibrator as this turns an already great toy in to a VIBRATING great toy. Mmyes.

I digress!

Initial penetration both during sex and solo with this toy is difficult. The head is slightly firmer than ideal and it's really quite blunt, meaning that no matter how well prepared I am I'm sure I'll always get a little discomfort.. but this comes with the territory. All equine toys do this to me, so I expected it with this one. Once in, the head gives a delightful pop and rushes forward to where the shaft tapers, settling if I don't immediately thrust it deeper. Again, the slight ridge around the head is ever present but actually feels pretty damn great once inside. Any discomfort present during penetration is lost as the toy is fairly slimmer once past the head. Once I start using this toy at more of a pace I really notice the medial ring stretching me. It's so pleasant to have varying sensations on a toy that looks so straight and so smooth.. The pop of the head, the ease of the shaft, then the surprising stretch of the medial ring.. It's all so well spaced out that you can achieve all of these sensations in a single session of play.

What I love about this toy is that it's an equine that doesn't have a hundred feet of usable length*, meaning I can pretty much use the entire of the toy without flailing about with the rest! Oh joy of joys, this is so wonderful. For a long time now I've wanted an equine that doesn't push too deep on those days when I'm feeling super sensitive toward my cervix. Due to the softness of this toy I can really go full whack when it comes to thrusting and I don't get too much discomfort. I'm somewhat of a masochist so I always expect a little pain when I'm using my Ponies and this is often because of them shoving flatly again my cervix. Also this manageable length allows me to experience all the rings of texture that I love so much on this sheath.

You could easily forget that this is a sheath when using it solo as it's so well designed with both parties in mind that it easily adapts to each user. My only issue when using this alone is the lack of a base, but this could be remedied by using a dildo or vibrator that's shorter than the sheath it's self. I would totally recommend this toy as a solo piece. It's delightful.

In Use, Fiance edition;

In use during sex, the Neigh Sayer really worked better than I expected. After having a fair amount of success with the cock sheath offered by Bad Dragon, I was worried that the differences (thicker walls, closed tip) would add up to a less pleasant experience. I was very pleasantly surprised! The sheathe fit on nicely with a fairly conservative amount of lube to provide a very secure fit, with only a little bit of empty space just at the tip. As the end is fairly sturdy, this gap wasn't really noticeable when we were using the sheath. I found the ball strap quite tight, but then again I'm not a huge fan of them as a feature and didn't get on massively with Bad Dragon's offering either.

In use, the sheath didn't move around as much as I had previously experienced – this may be due to a lack of a knot, preventing her from having more purchase on the sheath than me! The sensation was obviously less than without a sheath, but I don't see this as an issue and was still having plenty of fun regardless. My only real gripe with the Neigh Sayer came when I did. The fit is very snug, which is secure and reassuring at first but upon orgasm became quite uncomfortable.

I wouldn't massively recommend the Neigh Sayer as a masturbation sleeve unless you really want to feel like you have a horse cock. The tight passage does a brilliant job of making sure the sheath stays put, and staying put isn't much use when you're trying to masturbate. I wouldn't call this a point against the product though, as first and foremost it is a couple's toy – and besides, those who err on the thinner side of life or who crave a tight hole might just find this toy to be a great experience. The lack of hole in the tip however causes a fair amount of suction, mind you, which once again conspires to keep that sheath pretty much rooted to your penis. But as I said, this isn't marketed as a masturbation sleeve, it's a cock sheath – and in my opinion, it's a pretty damn good one at that.

Together?

I'd mostly just echo what my Fiance said really. The sheath slips on easily with a small amount of lubrication and once the issue of penetration is overcome, actual intercourse with this sheath is amazing. The sheath sits proud and stays put, refusing to slip about during use. This is fantastic since both my Fiance and I love to go rough, and that can be dampened a little when you're constantly having to fiddle with positioning the sheath back on the penis.

Visually I get very excited at the sight of my Fiance with a horse cock... Being a full time Pony player it's fantastic to have a new item that we can use together during play. Review; Exotic-Exotic's Motown the Stallion~!

The Company;

Exotic-Erotics, along with Bad Dragon, form the major competition in the realm of Fantasy Sex toys. The one major difference between the two companies, however, is that Exotic-Erotics prides itself on the Life Cast models that it offers. This for some is enough to turn them off, however to others it is the main allure. They not only offer life cast animal phalluses, but also life cast Humans for those of looking for that sort of toy

This review is going to be a little different from my usual ones as I will be talking about a Life Cast toy. Feel free to stop reading now if this makes you uncomfortable, as I know these kind of toys squick some people out! You've been warned.

Anyway..

EE offers limited customization options but have a wide range of preset colours that can be mixed and matched to your own tastes. These include flat colours such as black, white, grey, green and blue and many more, as well as a small range of truly florescent colours. Glow in the dark is now available in a single, solid greenish colour for $15!

Custom colours can be attempted but aren't garanteed to come out perfect, so please bare this in mind. With customization, if opting for a split then the first colour is free and you pay $10 for the second, but on a toy like this that has special markings, the colouration will only cost $15. This applies for the "swirl" option too.

Suction cups are indeed available on most toys for a modest $5, incredibly reasonable for such a fun additional extra. I'd totally recommend this option.

Last but not least, each toy comes with a free hand-made storage bag! Great for both concealing your toy and keeping it nice and clean. Each bag is randomly chosen, and for this toy mine was denim blue.

As with all silicone toys, Water-based lube only! Silicone will kill your toy something fierce. Another lubricant that can be used safely with silicone toys is Coconut Oil.. Smells delicious too!

The Model;

The second smallest in the equine line up, The toy I have here is one of the life cast models, Motown. As the name suggests, this toy has been cast from a living, breathing stallion.

Exotic-Erotics are the only company out there to offer this kind of toy, and it is one of the main allures of this company. There are a lot of people who are big on equine toys, and this allows for the experience they may crave without the issues that could come with seeking the real thing.

For my personal usage, this toy comes mostly in use during my Pony Play scenario's with my Handler, and has nothing to do with the real animal is was cast from. I already own Cody and Bad Dragon's Chance and simply sought something with a little more texture as most of the sculpted equine toys are too smooth to properly enjoy. I can easily detach from the fact that this toy is taken from the real thing, as silicone changes it a lot.

If you're interested in this toy but dislike the reality of it, Simply order it in a crazy colour! Orange! Blue! Florescent Rainbow! Yay! (Maybe even lighthouse colours..)

Bah! Again, I digress..

This toy offers a usable length of 11'' and a total length of 12''. The circumference of this toy is mostly uniform, starting at a whopping 8'' around the head, dipping to a pleasant 6.5'' midshaft, only to pop right back up to 8.25'' around the medial ring. Not a toy for the faint hearted, I won't lie.

The cast itself is beautiful, and obviously very realistic. Something that is clear from first seeing this toy is the amount of surface texture; The whole toy is riddled with wrinkles and folds which really does make it a more pleasant ride than Chance. In the soft silicone it's uncannily realistic feeling; something that initially squicked my Fiance out upon handling the toy.

As with all silicone toys, cleaning is important after use in order to keep your toy in tip-top condition. A warm soapy bath is good for cleaning after daily use, however it is always good practice to boil your silicone toys from time to time to really give them a good, deep clean. Naturally take more care with a toy like this, as the number of wrinkles and crevices can easily harbor fluids and other nasties. Really give your boy a good scrub after use to keep it nice and clean.

My Toy;

I opted for a customized take on the natural markings on my Motown as after a string of disappointing custom colourations. Motown's natural colouration offers a mostly black shaft with a single "stallion" pink splotch on the length; EE has a disclaimer saying that each toy turns out differently when poured, so no two ponies are the same.. A nice touch, I think.

I requested that my stallion had one or two splotches instead of just the one, and I love the outcome. 

It's like licorice & strawberry yogurt.. Nom~

I chose soft firmness for this toy as I had not a hope in hell of using it in anything firmer.. An 8'', blunt head? Yeah, that's not going anywhere without it being soft. Upon reflection a soft head with a medium shaft may have been wise, but I've never been one for odd splits. As you can imagine, this toy is so very floppy in this firmness, and is very akin to a flaccid phallus.. A sad, flaccid horse cock is such a sorry sight. But! It does feel beautiful under hand. The wrinkles and ridges are soft, but still noticeable and are uncannily fleshy like, something that I was very shocked by when I first handled this toy. My Fiance personally dislikes the heavy wrinkles, but to me I don't see them as wrinkles.. They're texture-fun-time-makers.

The final thing I opted for with my toy is a suction cup, because why not! At $5, it's hardly worth not getting. The suction cup is much more stable than the one on my hippocampus, and really sticks. The only thing I did notice that that the outside edges of the base seem to bevel outwards once the cup is properly depressed. This isn't an issue, but I though I'd mention it all the same.

In use;

As you can imagine, this toy is difficult to insert. Without any real prior warm up (slender, but tapered toys), it likes to just slip and bounce off my entrance.. This can get very tedious, very quick, especially when everything is well lubricated. Lubed hands, bits and toys don't equal easy insertion when they're as blunt as this.

The best method I found for inserting this toy was to try to compress the head a little, then insert it in a two step method; one side, then the other. Once those bits are in you can kind of just push the rest in with a little force. This, however, does lead to a little soreness the next day, so either prepare yourself or stretch a little prior to using this big boy.

Once inside he's a dream. This toy is everything I hoped it would be. It has texture, a slight flare to the head, thickness AND length. A girl feels spoiled!

In all fairness, my limited experience with this toy hasn't been entirely mind blowing due to a number of factors.. I'm an impatient girl. I should have waited a good week or so after having my menstrual week as I'm always a lot more tender and shallow around this time. Enthusiasm and impatience lead to a lot of ouchiness and a very unhappy uterus the next morning due to the (un)welcome pounding of this impatient stallion (I blame my Fiance.)

Edit; At the time of writing this review (prior to my vacation), Motown had left me feeling frustrated and aroused.. I couldn't wait to try him again once I'd recovered, but sadly we didn't bring him on our Vacation.

Story time~

Upon getting home we settled in to a spot of Pony play, which very quickly turned in to a session of "Capture the Mare". After avoiding the hobbles and bridle for a good while I let my guard drop and he captured me, restraining my firey will with leather hobbles and a rubber bit strapped tight in my mouth. With a somewhat eye watering pop, the toy made it's entrance and pushed deep, the previous discomfort now gone and replaced with a deliciously textured stretch. In terms of shaft width, Motown isn't all the wide.. It's just that damn head. The texture can really be felt on this toy and it is advised to keep a healthy supply to lube on hand. I like to reapply every now and then to keep the toy gliding smooth, as I have had issues with this toy drying out a little and catching on me as opposed to gliding smoothly in and out.. It kind of just stretches if you don't lubricate well enough.

Tl;Dr; My second run with this toy was PHENOMENAL.

To summarize!

If you're looking for a pony with a little more texture than those offered by other companies, Motown may be the pony for you!
