Review; Bad Dragon's Cocksheath!

The Cocksheath is currently the newest and most innovative of all the products that bad dragon offers right  now. An idea that had come up a lot on the Idea's and Suggestions sub-forum of the main Bad Dragon Forums, it is truly fantastic seeing Bad Dragon listen to the community in regards to what their customers want. Finally a product that allows partners to use a Bad Dragon project together without getting tired arms! Released merely weeks a go, I was given the opportunity to review one of these and jumped at the chance to try something new.

Offered in a single size, this sheath is a "one-size fits all" deal. When the original Beta-test for this product went live it was offered in two sizes; Medium and a Large. However, it seems as though by listening to the feedback given by the initial beta run they decided on going with a single size that stretches to accommodate any male, small or large. I'd like to just say though, if you're under 6'' in length then this Sheath may cover the glans a little.. although this is not necessarily a bad point, but more so an aesthetic thing really.

This toy is only offered in single firmness (I believe this is Soft firm, given the stretchiness of the sheath). I guess this toy can be treated not too dissimilar to the Squirter/Lube applicator.. It has one size, one firmness and limited colour options, making ordering a breeze. 

The sheath has been designed to slip over whatever kind of dong you want it to in order to add a little something extra, be it girth, texture or a knot. This sheath combines all those elements for a truly delicious experience. Below are some examples of a few of my toys wearing the sheath;

Unfortunately this toy is only available in a handful of set colours, two of which are bio-luminescent (Glow in the dark), although another option is Surprise me. This option allows the Shop Dragon's to choose your colour for you, and it can be anywhere from a single solid colour to a crazy marble in bright colours, although please remember that it is a surprise. This means you can't influence the Shop Dragon's choice or make requests.

Bad Dragon’s toys are all cast in 100% platinum cured silicone which is body safe, phthalates free and hypoallergenic, meaning it can be easily sterilized after use. This is particularly good if you find this toy not to suit your needs, as it can easily be sterilized after use .

You’ll want to use water based lubricant with these toys since Silicone Lubricant can destroy and damage your toy. Keep this in mind if using condoms with toys— double check your lubricant! If you're unsure about your lube, you can check out The Lube Compatibility thread here.

This product is a dream to clean. Simply run under warm water, rub inside and out with a little soap and hang up to dry. Easy peasy!

My Toy

Prior to release I was given the option to review this toy, and was offered a selection of colours to choose from. Since this toy would be used mainly on and with my partner, I let him choose the colour and naturally he lept at the option of a blue, glow in the dark wang. From ordering to shipping it little under a week, then a further 4 days to arrive on my doorstep.. Well, My Fiancees doorstep. Since moving back home I do not have the privacy to receive such things, but I digress.

The colour of the sheath is a beautiful icey blue, not too dissimilar to Janine's natural colour. It does absorb a lot of the detail though, so this is something that you may want to consider when choosing your colour. Despite this, I can still clearly make out the ridges and subtle veining that this cast has, it is just that it does not photograph very well.

The Cocksheath has a length of around 5'', with a diameter of around 1.5'', and a circumference of 5.2'' around the shaft and 6.2'' around the knot, however all but the length measurement is really necessary. As the sheath is "One Size fits all," it should be good to stretch up to a circumference of around 7''.. past this and I would worry about the structural integrity of the sheath itself, and this is not the kind of product that could easily be fixed with Silipoxy or other silicon glues. Despite this though, the sheath has an incredibly good stretch to it.

His Experience;

First off, a short section from Mr.Fiance, who tested this sheath Solo;

Since I received the sheath whilst my fiancée was away, I had a pretty good opportunity to test it out as far as general fit and solo use was concerned. First up, I’d say the length is about perfect for an average sized chap such as myself. The sheath comes up to tuck itself quite nicely underneath the ridge of the glans, which means that provided things aren’t too slippy it shouldn’t be going anywhere. The girth is sized pretty well too, with it needing to stretch just enough to fit so as to have very little chance of being baggy whilst avoiding too much strain on the sheath. When on correctly, the sheath shouldn’t fall off or crush you. The ball strap is actually a lot more comfortable than I anticipated, with it providing some extra stability without the pain I was expecting after having used cockrings with similar straps in the past with much less success!

The problem can be, however, that it is incredibly easy for things to be all too slippery for the sheath to hang on. I’d recommend using the very least you can get away with when putting it on if you want to cut down on the odds of turning your junk into some kind of sheath-launcher. Another issue could be encountered if you happen to be uncircumcised; if the sheath’s front opening slips behind your foreskin it can lead to a very strange appearance and increase the chance of it slipping off as the head will no longer gain the same purchase on the opening. Take care to keep the foreskin out of the way, however, and it should slip on with little trouble.

If you’re thinking of using the sheath as a masturbation sleeve, it has enough internal texture to fit the bill, too. Whilst not as indulgently textured as the female toys on offer at BD and without their reassuringly comfortable heft, the ridges inside the sheath feel very pleasant. This means the sheath can provide a simpler, more portable alternative if the female toys seem a little bulky and troublesome. By comparison to the female toys, it is a dream to clean the sheath – simply turn it inside out and wash with warm water! The more open design makes drying a much faster process too.

The sheath is also fantastic for its designed purpose as well – couple’s play. Wearing the sheath definitely lends a certain extra girth as well as the increased hardness you could expect from a cockring. It also means that if your lover is a sucker for knots you can scratch that particular itch without missing out on the action yourself! In use with a partner, I would say it is definitely a lot of fun. I don’t think much sensation was lost, what with the end still being open meaning that the most sensitive part is still free to enjoy the experience. In fact, the extra pressure from the sheath’s squeezing coupled with the internal texture makes the whole thing very enjoyable! The only concern I have with using it with a partner is that once the knot locks in, it can become a case of you thrusting into the sheath as opposed to the sheath thrusting into your partner. Holding the base can help this 

problem, though, and perhaps a bit more lube would prevent the knot locking in quite so determinedly!

Our Experience

I had no prior feelings toward this product, as myself and my partner had not experienced anything like it before. We had been interested in trying some of the other sheathes on the market, however due to fact that there were often offered in single size with no opening in the end, we had simply never gotten around to purchasing any of them as they all require adapters if the male isn't long enough. To me, it all seemed like such a fuss.. Despite how yummy Fetish Zone's Pegasus sheath looks (Psst, BD? Release a horsey one, pretty pleeeeeeeease~)

Upon seeing the sheath I was incredibly shocked by the heft of the product-- it is much larger than I had imagined, but thankfully it fit like a dream. When applying this product to your partner, you will want to use some form of lubricant to prevent the silicone catching on the skin. Lubricant is especially helpful if your partner is uncircumcised, since the foreskin will naturally fight against the sheath a tiny bit for settling in to place. If using lubricated condoms with this toy, you may not need so much lube. However.. Please check what your condoms are lubricated with, since as you should know by now silicone lubricant can damage and destroy your toys. Once in place, simply stretch the ballstrap around your lover or toy's balls to keep the sheath snug and in place.

Having used this toy in a couple positions, I will give opinions on them all. Now, I'm a big fan of doggy style, and now that Mr.Fiance is equipped with a yummy knot and extra girth I really couldn't say no. I love the sheath in this position because it really allows for deep penetration and for the knot is be felt popping in and out. I was skeptical at first to just how much girth this would give, but upon penetration my eyes widened at just how much thicker Mr.Fiance felt. Unfortunately I do not have measurements on hand, but I'd be willing to bet that this sheath made him a good 1-1.5'' thicker than his natural girth. The knot surprised me too, it really gave that subtle knotting sensation that I get when using my smaller knotted toys.. Colour me impressed! I assumed that the knot on this sheath would be soft and far too squishy to be felt, but it really can be felt, along with the ridges and bumps!

Now.. a slight negative. When Mr.Fiance ties with me and tries to continue thrusting, the sheath can be felt slipping forward on the shaft and if it were not for the ball strap, I'd easily pull the sheath right off his shaft. This may be because I am very tight in this position, but certainly is a small fault in the design. The only thing I can think to remedy this would be less lubricant OR letting to lubricant dry on the shaft before attempting penetration. This will provide a little grip on the skin of the shaft and may prevent this slipping issues. 

Back to positives! The other position we tested this sheath in is Missionary. Now, as boring as missionary sounds this sheath will definitely spice it up.  I personally like to shimmy right to the edge of the bed with my legs upward, resting on Mr.Fiance's shoulder, who is standing during this position. This allows for super deep penetration, allow for both users to feel the sheath completely inside. Since this sheath increases girth, I would assume it would also increase pressure on the Male's shaft, which is only enhanced in this position due to my thighs being squeezed together. All in all we both love this product as it really enhances what naturally I love so much.

Her Experience

As this sheath is so versatile, naturally it ended up being tested in use with my other toys. This sheath is an easy way to increase girth and spice up some of the plainer toys that Bad Dragon offers. This sheath is especially good at adding some variation to toys which are perhaps more up and down, such as equine toys (Cody & Chance) and other toys such a the Hippocampus. As you can imagine, it adds a little or a lot of a girth depending on how stretched the sheath is-- the more stretched it is, the less thick the silicone around the toy.

It is a fun way to use the sheath, but the lazy vixen that I am finds it all a bit troublesome. I'd much rather use this toy with my Fiance as it is a lot more enticing to have warm flesh inside of the sheath, as opposed to cold silicone.

Overall Experience?

An amazing, off the wall product and an innovative way to spice up your sex life! I really cannot fault this product and the only issues we have experienced were down to our own error.

So! Here are things we loved;

• Innovative easy design to use
• One size that should fit all without an issue
• Pleasant, although limited colours
• Reasonable price considering the complexity of the cast

And for the sake of fairness, not so good points;

• Limited colours. A lot of people are requesting customization on this sheath, but as of yet this isn't possible
• Although it is one size, this sheath does have a limit to it's stretch.

So yes! If you are looking for something that adds girth, texture, knots and ridges, this sheath is definitely for you. And for those of you without a significant other.. no need! This sheath doubles up nicely as a portable masturbation sleeve thanks to the subtle yet prominent ridging on the inside.

After 5 years of togetherness, this Sheath really spices up my sexual relationship without having to always reach for the silicocks.
